Meet the founders

  • Founder & CEO

    Thomas has built a career at the intersection of public policy, digital communications, and community engagement. With more than 15 years working between Portland and NYC, he’s led and executed digital strategies for organizations like the Oregon Food Bank, New York City Housing Authority, and Oregon Health Authority. His data-driven communication strategies are based on a solid track record of executing web development and CRM solutions. Thomas’s experience spans public health, infrastructure, social justice, and environmental justice, with a track record of helping nonprofits and public sector organizations build strong, actionable digital strategies.

  • Founder & COO

    Jian is a serial entrepreneur and has been instrumental in shaping Breakthrough Digital Communications from its early stages. He brings over 15 years of experience working with startups and entrepreneurs to drive growth and innovation to help bring their visions to life. As COO, Jian leads the company’s strategic operations, ensuring smooth project execution and scalability. Jian holds an MBA and a Certificate of Entrepreneurship from the University of Washington, Foster School of Business, and a Marketing degree from Seattle University.
